Why We Can't Have Nice Things

Its their Fault
Since childhood, we wanted things, things we just couldn't have. We always to be pampered, it was relaxing to those who received love and care. Hopefully the first person deny you something was your parent, it was kind of their job. Sadly you also thought that it was just them being mean.. Growing up however, you realize that they were just teaching you a lesson. In addition, if it wasn't them then it was someone else getting in the way of your goal. You grow and realize that getting what you want is not as simple as before. From being a baby to adulthood, there was always a roadblock to our goal the next one being more hindering than the last. For example since childbirth you are taken care of for the most part of your day, as you grow with the more you could do, the more things  got in the way. Necessities like food, or the need to communicate, not that there is a problem with it, are a simple example. To have a huge business, one must start small were it may suffer greatly to the point it could disappear(business is always dirty). To gain something, an exchange must be made, purchase or favors. The next problem isn't what's up ahead, but the goal setter himself.
Its Our Fault
Some people grow up with advantages at their disposal only to waste it. It is often natural to take what you have for granted, especially when young. Sometime it is not that they don't work hard enough but that they hardly work at all. I was also at fault at this, I work but don't take all days. The point is that sometimes one would slack when their goal is not beyond their reach.
It's Nature's Fault
This is something that can't be done about. Has anyone ever ever wondered why it is considered healthy to have simple things as goals or interests. This simple knowledge is as old as humanity, itself.. In the story of "The Tower of Babel," people built the tower in order to reach heaven on their own. To travel better, people rode on horse back, made carriages, invented vehicles such as trains and automobiles; to fly we even made planes. This may have also led to the idea that it's terrible to live once you have everything, you'd get bored fast and have nothing else to strive for.
What to get from this
The "desire to reach higher" is not something one can get rid off, or else the world will spin without you, so make good use of it , we as people have done so much with this human aspect of ours. There will be obstacles made to stop you, make your goals seem impossible to reach. One of my favorite quotes was, "kick logic out and do the impossible," each success will transform you, hopefully to a greater person.
